CYTEC’s HDX Series are economical, high density, passive, bidirectional switch matrices.
Each chassis holds up to 2048 two pole Type A relays, and a modular design allows great flexibility in creating different switching topologies. For example, the following single chassis configurations are all possible: 960×4 single wire matrix, 64×32 two wire matrix, or 32×8 eight pole matrix. See the possibilities listed below. Several independent matrices, such as a four separate 32×16 two pole matrices, can be provided in one chassis as well.
Ethernet LAN, RS232 & IEEE488 controls are standard, while USB and front panel Manual Controls are optionally available. Modular design allows you to easily expand system.
Each switch module is an individual 32×4 2 pole matrix. They may be interconnected to build larger configurations or used in series to make 3 stage matrices that maintain the bandpass of a single module to a great degree. For example eight of these modules may be cascaded through another module to make a 256×4 matrix with 10 MHz – 3dB bandwidth. Uses Two D37S ( Socket ) connectors and type A armature relays with the following specs:
Each switch module has 8 separate 4×4 matrix sections which may be interconnected to form a variety of larger configurations when used in the HDX chassis. Most commonly used for Nx4, and Nx4xM configurations. Uses D37S ( Socket ) connectors and type A armature relays with the following specs:
