The CX Series of Switching Matrices are available in a variety of single wire coax configurations designed to operate in the range from DC to 700 MHz with many options to minimize price while meeting the desired specifications.
Expansion chassis (denoted as -E) can be used with a MESA Control chassis for cost effective configuration of matrix sizes which exceed the limits of a single chassis. See the MESA Series for details on building larger systems.
This series is broken up into the following groups:
CXB Series Modular Matrix systems for coax signals up to 100 MHz.
CXF Series Relay Matrix non-blocking, full fan-out systems 10 to 700 MHz.
CXG Series Relay Matrix systems for DC to 800 MHz 50 or 75 ohm signals.
CXS Series Solid State non-blocking full fan out systems 1 to 2.5 GHz.
CXB/16×8 and CXB/32×4 Mainframes and Expansion Chassis are built for either Nx8 or Nx4 Matrix configurations, where the number of installed switch modules determines the number of connections in the N direction. All systems are completely bidirectional, so either side of the matrix may be considered inputs or outputs.
These Chassis control up to 16 switch modules in 16×8, 32×4 or dual 16×4 configurations. Available as single pole systems with the outer conductor of the BNC taken to ground, or isolated 2 pole systems switching both center conductor and ground. LEDs on the front panel show switch and power status. Add Switch Modules to complete the system.

These modules are used with CXB/16×8 Chassis to provide Nx8 matrices. Each module supplies one connection in the N direction and a total of 16 modules will form a 16×8 matrix.
CXB/2x4-1S or 2S Switch Modules
These modules are used with CXB/32×4 Chassis to provide Nx4 matrices. Each module supplies two connections in the N direction and a total of 16 modules will form a 32×4 matrix.
These modules are used with CXB/32×4 Chassis to provide Nx4 matrices. Each module supplies two connections in the N direction as shown in Fig. 4, and a total of 16 modules will form a 32×4 matrix.
This system is a non-blocking (any input to any output), full fan out (any input to any or all outputs), 50 ohm coaxial switch matrix available in 4×8 or 8×8 configurations as shown. Larger configurations can be supplied using multiple Expansion Chassis and a MESA Control Chassis. Systems are built with BNC or SMA as standard connectors. Other connector styles available on request. The matrix has LED visual display of latched switch paths. These systems are priced with switch modules included.
These Chassis are built as 50 or 75 ohm matrix configurations of 4×8 or 8×8 using tree switch configuration switch modules for high bandpass. The internal matrix block is wired out to BNC, SMA or other 50 or 75 ohm connectors. LEDs on the front panel show switch and power status.

CXS Series 8x8 to 16x16 Solid State L-Band Matrices
These Chassis can be configured from 8×8 up to 16×16 non-blocking, full fan-out matrices for 50 ohm signals from 1 GHz to 2.7 GHz. The system uses splitters and amplifiers on the input side and switch modules on the output side to form a stubless matrix. Unit comes standard with LAN, GPIB and RS232 control. A keypad manual control is optional. The CXS Series can also be built as expansion chassis and used with a Mesa II Control Chassis. Expansion Chassis allow large or complex systems to be set up using a single point of control.

CXS Series 8x8 75 Ohm CATV Matrix
The CXS/8×8-75-F is an 8×8 non-blocking, full fanout 75 ohm matrix using solid state switches and covering 5 to 1000 MHz. The system will allow any input to be connected to any output or any one input connected to any or all outputs.
These systems are used for CATV labs to automate testing between CMTS and Modem banks.
