Cytec can design and build External Interconnects that interconnect separate modules or chassis to create specific configurations. Typical interconnects include:
Single chassis interconnects between individual modules – for example, semi-rigid coaxial cables can be sized and built to appropriate length(s) to interconnect coaxial microwave switch modules as shown in Figure 1 below. This chassis uses 12 semi-rigid interconnects arranged as shown to create a 156×1 microwave multiplexer.
Interconnects between two or more chassis to provide configurations that are larger then can be furnished in a single chassis. Figure 2 shows three RSM/16×8-9 nine wire matrices interconnected with D9-to-D9 ribbon cables to create a larger, 16×24 nine wire matrix.
